Solution Center Comes Together Seamlessly

NEW FALKBUILT BRANCH ATTRACTS AN AUDIENCE

As crews installed a “fun, eclectic and inspiring space” at the new Falkbuilt Grand Rapids Branch, a few owner representatives, clients and sub-trades dropped by to see Digital Component Construction in action. As the solid walls, stack walls, timber and millwork went up, so did their eyebrows.

“One end user watched the build for a while and saw the efficiencies firsthand,” says Carl Mikail, the Branch General Manager. “He was impressed that we were working in an occupied space with minimal disruption, he liked the overall fit and finish and the fact that we are using traditional construction methods that their facility and IT teams and everybody else can integrate with easily.”

The build was painless from the moment the truck rolled up in Grand Rapids. The six skids of digital components were unloaded within half an hour and moved to the mezzanine with a forklift. “As some of us were unloading, we had others already planning and prepping the layout,” Carl says. “We worked in a very seamless manner. Everything was very intuitive.”

With Echo, the team had all the information they needed at their fingertips for a painless and fast installation. So fast, the space was ready for the electrical and audio/visual subcontractors early. “I had to call them because we were, at that point, a day-and-a-half ahead of schedule … after day one. They were absolutely floored by the system itself.” So was Carl. “It is mind blowing, absolutely mind blowing.”

Carl is thrilled with the response from local general contractors, architects, designers, end users and owners reps. “It has been absolutely phenomenal,” he says. “We look forward to the opportunities of partnering with them on their future projects.”
